Mame / Zurich, Switzerland

Mathieu Theis (four time Swiss Barista Champion) and Emi Fukahori (2018 World Brewers Cup Champion), met each other over coffee championships and fell in love with specialty coffee. "We got so fascinated by the world of specialty coffee, we quit our corporate office jobs and founded MAME in Zurich, Switzerland in 2016. We love participating in coffee competitions, we believe that it is a great way to push our knowledge forward. MAME means 'beans' in Japanese. The reference to the Japanese culture means for us dedication towards coffee and to never stop improving."
